Kubotek technology includes the most complete and easy to use CAD measurement functionality anywhere. These tools allow engineers to quickly find size information not provided on drawings. For complex designs, 3D solid technology provides precise volume and interference condition calculations in seconds - something that would take hours to manually estimate and double check.

Volume
Kubotek solid modeling technology provides instant volume, center of gravity (CG), moments of inertia, and radius of gyration calculation for each selected solid and the total for all selected solids. Additional capabilities provide creation of point and line geometry of the CG and principle axes and output of a mass properties report to a text file. Tools to quickly determine the area of faces and closed wireframe profiles are also available.

Distance
Kubotek technology provides more than simple distance measurement between positions on a solid. Users can easily measure to projected positions and minimum distances between any combination of solids, surfaces, faces, curves, planes and positions. Angles between lines, vectors, linear edges, planes, and planar faces can also be quickly measured. The total length of selected sets of edges or wireframe entities can be quickly summed by the perimeter function. For instant feedback, length and radius of highlighted edges is provided dynamically in ToolTips next to the cursor. Measurement data can be easily stored in user defined variables contained in the part file for later use in calculations such as input values for create and edit functions.
